We are one of the largest Greenshell™ Mussel processors in New Zealand and we are expanding into finfish farming.

We own the Queensland-based King Reef Group, the largest capacity barramundi aquaculture operation in Australia. King Reef, which was established in the mid-1990s, is a fully integrated barramundi breeding, growing and processing enterprise. We have a 50% shareholding in leading Tasmanian Ocean Trout company Petuna Aquaculture, founded by Peter and Una Rockliff. Petuna also has an increasing share of the Australian Atlantic salmon market.

New Zealand’s 17,000 kilometres of coastline, with remote bays & inlets cleansed by cool southern ocean currents, provides ideal growing conditions for the Greenshell™ Mussel. These large mussels, with cream or orange flesh and a distinctive green shell are a true New Zealand delicacy.

Our large mussel processing plant in Nelson produces mussel without shell and we also process halfshell mussels at a joint venture plant in Tauranga.
