Ling- Genypterus blacodes blank.gif (49 bytes)
blank.gif (49 bytes) Ling is a large resource found throughout the Southern Hemisphere. We catch it in New Zealand and Australian waters. Also known as Kingklip, it is unrelated to European Ling. It is orange/pink in colour.

It has a typical length of 80-120cm (3-4 ft), and typically weigh 5-20kg (10-40 lb).

The flesh is firm, and can be cooked in small cubes or slices. Ling sounds (swimbladder) are highly sought after.
